These CAN be resized. DO NOT RESIZE THE BASE
I used a 1/2" (12" long) dowel rod for the stick part with a 1/2" hole for the round base. I got them at Hobby Lobby. You can find these on Amazon or other craft store sites. Be specific with the 1/2" , 12" long when ordering.
I chose to cut these from birch that are shown in the photo. Be sure you are aware birch has glue pockets and voids and may not always cut all the way through.
